Disney World bus crash injures eight- Updated

A bus in the Walt Disney World transportation fleet was involved in an accident around 2:30 p.m. EST near the entrance of Epcot. According to reports, seven passengers and one of the bus drivers were injured when a charter bus was rear-ended by the Walt Disney World bus. The charter bus was parked in a through lane and had no one on board. It is unclear why the bus was parked in this lane.

All seven passengers were transferred to nearby medical centers with "minor injuries." However, the injured driver of the Walt Disney World bus was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Epcot remains in operation, with the main parking lot entrance closed during the investigation.

Update: The parking lot entrance was closed for 2 hours, but has now been reopened.
